Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of closed reduction of nasal bone fracture combined with septoplasty on nasal ventilation function in patients with deviated nasal septum after nasal bone fracture. Methods A total of 80 patients with deviated nasal septum after nasal bone fracture admitted to our hospital from June 2024 to December 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with simple closed reduction of nasal bone fracture, and the study group received combined treatment of closed reduction of nasal bone fracture and septoplasty. The pain intensity, nasal ventilation function, nasal appearance improvement and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS score of the study group after treatment was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The NOSE score of the study group after treatment was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The excellent and good rate of nasal appearance in the study group (87.50%) was higher than that in the control group (62.50%) (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically signiffcant (P>0.05). Conclusion Compared with single closed reduction of nasal bone fracture, the combined application of closed reduction of nasal bone fracture and septoplasty can more effectively relieve pain in patients with deviated nasal septum after nasal bone fracture, improve nasal ventilation function and raise the excellent and good rate of nasal appearance, without increasing the risk of complications.
