Objective To analyze the effect of bracketless invisible appliance on inffammatory factor levels in gingival crevicular ffuid of patients with orthodontics. Methods A total of 60 patients with orthodontics treatment in Beijing Huairou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to June 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was treated with ffxed appliance, and the study group was treated with bracketless invisible appliance. The periodontal health, inffammatory factor levels in gingival crevicular ffuid, orthodontic satisfaction and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results At 3 months after orthodontics, the scores of sulcus bleeding index and plaque index in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). At 3 months after orthodontics, the levels of sICAM-1 and MMP-8 in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of all dimensions of orthodontic satisfaction in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group (3.33%) was lower than that in the control group (20.00%) (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of bracketless invisible appliance in orthodontics can effectively improve patients' periodontal health, regulate the levels of sICAM-1 and MMP-8 in gingival crevicular ffuid, help to improve patients' satisfaction with orthodontic effects, and reduce complications, which shows superior therapeutic effect compared with ffxed appliance.
