Objective To analyze the effect of acupuncture at Yingxiang, Quanliao and other acupoints on facial aesthetic score in patients with nasolabial fold depressed wrinkles. Methods A total of 45 patients with nasolabial fold depressed wrinkles admitted to Luzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2024 to April 2025 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into group A (n=22) and group B (n=23) by the random number table method. Group A was treated with hyaluronic acid fflling injection, and group B was treated with acupuncture at Yingxiang, Quanliao and other acupoints. The nasolabial fold depth, facial aesthetic score, clinical efficacy and adverse reaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results The nasolabial fold depth of group B after treatment was lower than that of group A (P<0.05). The facial aesthetic score of group B after treatment was higher than that of group A (P<0.05). The total effective rate of group B (95.65%) was higher than that of group A (72.73%) (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in group B (0) was lower than that in group A (18.18%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture intervention at Yingxiang, Quanliao and other acupoints for patients with nasolabial fold depressed wrinkles can effectively reduce nasolabial fold depth, and improve facial aesthetic score, with good clinical efffcacy and high safety.
