Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of comfort nursing combined with aesthetic nursing on nasal symptoms and aesthetic-related indicators in perioperative patients with sinusitis. Methods A total of 80 perioperative patients with sinusitis who underwent endoscopic sinus surgery admitted to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Afffliated Hospital of Sichuan Nursing Vocational College (The Third People's Hospital of Sichuan Province) from January 2024 to December 2025 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into group A and group B by the random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. Group A received conventional nursing, and group B received comfort nursing combined with aesthetic nursing on the basis of group A. The psychological emotion, pain intensity, nasal symptoms, aesthetic-related indicators, rehabilitation indicators and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of SAS and SDS in group B after intervention were lower than those in group A (P<0.05). The scores of VAS in group B at 6 h, 24 h and 48 h after operation were lower than those in group A (P<0.05). At 48 h after operation, the scores of nasal congestion, nasal discharge, cephalofacial distending pain/nasofacial swelling and hyposmia in group B were lower than those in group A (P<0.05). The time to ffrst ambulation, time to nasal ventilation improvement, time to sleep recovery and hospitalization time of group B were shorter than those of group A (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate of group B (97.50%) was higher than that of group A (82.50%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Comfort nursing combined with aesthetic nursing can relieve postoperative pain and nasofacial swelling of perioperative patients with sinusitis, promote nasal ventilation, improve sleep quality and accelerate postoperative recovery. Meanwhile, it can alleviate negative emotions and improve nursing satisfaction.
