Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of integrated crown-root restoration on occlusal function and aesthetic effect in patients with complicated anterior crown-root fracture. Methods A total of 66 patients with complicated anterior crown-root fracture receiving restorative treatment in Suzhou Huaxia Stomatological Hospital from August 2025 to March 2026 were enrolled, and they were divided into the control group (n =33) and the observation group (n =33) according to different restoration methods. The control group received conventional root-canal therapy+selective post-core crown restoration, and the observation group received root-canal therapy+integrated post-core crown restoration. The occlusal function, aesthetic effect and complications were compared between the two groups. Results At 3 months after operation, the masticatory efficiency and occlusal force in the two groups were better than those before operation, and those in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). At 3 months after operation, the scores of PES and WES in the two groups were higher than those before operation, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 3.03%, which was lower than 9.09% in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion For patients with complicated anterior crown-root fracture, integrated crown-root restoration can effectively improve occlusal function and achieve favorable pink-white aesthetic performance of teeth, without increasing the risk of complications.
