Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of evidence-based continuing nursing on periodontal clinical indicators and oral healthrelated quality of life in patients with peri-implantitis. Methods A total of 86 patients with peri-implantitis admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to June 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 43 patients in each group. The control group received conventional nursing, and the observation group received evidence-based continuing nursing on the basis of the control group. The periodontal clinical indicators, oral health-related quality of life (OHIP-14), nursing compliance and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After 6 months of intervention, the PD and mPI in the observation group were (2.81±0.69)mm and (0.79±0.37)points, which were lower than (3.62±0.87)mm and (1.31±0.48)points in the control group (P <0.05). The positive rate of BOP in the observation group was 16.28%, which was lower than 37.21% in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of each dimension of OHIP-14 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the high compliance rate and nursing satisfaction were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Evidence-based continuing nursing can improve periodontal clinical indicators and oral health-related quality of life for patients with peri-implantitis, and help to enhance nursing compliance and satisfaction.
