Abstract:Objective To study the application effect of nurse-led multidisciplinary team (MDT) closed-loop checklist in the prevention and control of multidrug-resistant organisms in burn wards. Methods A total of 72 burn patients admitted to the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery of our hospital from June 2024 to June 2025 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the study group, with 36 patients in each group. The control group was given conventional prevention and control nursing management, and the study group was given nursing management based on nurse-led MDT closed-loop checklist. The multidrug-resistant organism infection, nursing satisfaction, quality of life, as well as the quality of ward environment and disinfection-isolation management were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of multidrug-resistant organism infection in the study group (8.33%) was lower than the control group (27.78%), the nursing satisfaction rate of the study group (97.22%) was higher the control group (86.11%) (P <0.05). The scores of BSHS-B, ward environment and disinfection-isolation management of the two groups after intervention were higher than those before intervention, and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The nurse-led MDT closed-loop checklist exerts positive effects on the prevention and control of multidrug-resistant organisms in burn wards. It can effectively reduce the infection rate of multidrug-resistant organisms, improve ward environment and disinfection isolation management, and increase nursing satisfaction and patients’ quality of life, with favorable application performance.
