In recent years, digital technology has achieved remarkable progress in orthodontics diagnosis, treatment management and clinical services. Modern emerging technological approaches such as digital imaging, virtual orthodontics simulation technology, 3D printing technology and artificial intelligence technology have broken the limitations of traditional orthodontic techniques and provided technical support for precise and individualized orthodontic treatment. This paper reviews the application of digital technology in orthodontics, analyzes the clinical advantages and challenges of related technologies, and discusses its application prospects, so as to promote the development of intelligent and precise orthodontics.
